February Events: Books and Films

Three exciting events will be taking place in February showcasing Israeli and non-Israeli Jewish talent.

Jewish Book Week, 18-26 Feb

2012 marks the sixtieth anniversary of the first Jewish Book Week in London, with a packed programme of readings and discussions. All events take place at Kings Place, 90 York Way,  N1 9AG

The Arab Israeli Book Review, 2 Feb

This very exciting online journal is holding a book club event with Ariel Kahn and Samir El-Youssef discussing Sayed Kashua’s Dancing Arabs. Promising to be very funny!

2nd of February at 7.00pm, in Joseph’s Bookstore (1257 Finchley Road, Temple Fortune, very close to Golders Green).

UK Jewish Film: All Year Round, 2 Feb – 18 March

UK Jewish Film promotes awareness of international Jewish life and cultures, and provides a dynamic on-going forum for independent filmmakers working with Jewish themes. They’re screening several interesting films this month under its new ‘All Year Round’ banner.
